THE NHRC  IRB's  ACTIVITIES

Number of meetings held

The Board has a permanent office in the Centre, manned by the IRB Administrator who is responsible for the overall operations of the IRB. Except for unavoidable circumstances, the Navrongo IRB meets every second Saturday of every month. Since its establishment, the Board has held 18 full meetings and 6 expedited review meetings. In all, eighteen (18) new protocols have been reviewed by the IRB since its establishment. Seven of these have also gone through continuing review and five projects have so far been completed.

Standards Operating Procedures/Ethical Guidelines

The NHRC IRB has developed standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guide its operations. This document is currently undergoing some revisions and shall be posted on this site soon.
