The Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health project is a major programme of research aimed at promoting the healthy development of adolescents in the Kassena-Nankana District.
The proposed study builds on previous activities of the NHRC. The ultimate goal of the proposed research agenda is to improve sexual and reproductive health among young people in rural Ghana. Program activities will aim to create an enabling environment that would promote the adoption of healthy behaviours among young people as well as increase young people’s access to and the use of health services. Ultimately, this will reduce the prevalence of sexual and reproductive health problems (STIs/HIV), unprotected sex, unintended pregnancy) among adolescents.
